FKZ 02WT0820
Identification of lines of innovation with which sustainable water management can be achieved worldwide by the year 2050
Within the “Water 2050“project, long-term objectives and conditions for achieving sustainable system solution for water management shall be developed by linking appropriate analytic and prognostic methods. By looking at the water situation in 2050, a better understanding for future tasks shall be achieved and a long-term focus on export shall be simulated for the German water industry early on. Thus, the German environmental technology and water industry will be supported in positioning itself in the world market and at the same time in contributing to fight the emerging worldwide water crisis.
BDZ is integrated into the project through a subcontract of the UFZ and is developing a ‘technology foresight’ for decentralized wastewater treatment.
